Quality and grades of steel
All our spindles can be manufactured with different grades of steel, the characteristics of which are listed hereunder:
- 11SmnPb37 (AVP) Steel, it is used by 99% of our customers, in compliance with UNI EN 10277-3:2000, steel no. 1.0737
with Rm da 510÷810 N/sq mm.
› AVAILABILITY: immediate - 11SmnPb30 (LED 108) Steel in compliance with UNI EN 10277-3:2000, steel no. 1.0718, with characteristics similar
to the previous steel and a lower content of S by 0.27 -0.33%. Rm 510÷810 N/sq mm.
› AVAILABILITY: on demand - 11Smn37 e 11SMn30 (AVZ) Steel, in compliance with UNI EN 10277-3:2000, steel no. 1.0736 and 1.0715 with
characteristics identical to the previous steel but without Pb. Rm 510÷810 N/sq mm.
› AVAILABILITY: on demand - 28SMnPb28 (PR60) Steel, in compliance with UNI EN 10277-3:2000. Special steel and produced according to our
specifications to meet the requirements of the customers asking for higher mechanical strength compared to the previous grades; this
steel can reach Rm 630÷890 N/sq mm and its structure is halfway between 11SMnPb37 (AVP) and 35SMnPb14 (PR80).
› AVAILABILITY: on demand - 16MnCr5 Steel according to UNI EN 10277-4:2000 Steel no. 1.7131. Typical casehardening steel to be used
in exceptional cases when extreme surface hardness - also beyond 40 HRC - is required (approximate conversion Rm = 1300
N/sq mm).
› AVAILABILITY: on demand - INOX Aisi 303 Steel, according to UNI EN 10088-3:2004 Steel no. 1.4305. This steel suitably combines good
workability and excellent resistance to corrosion, it is used in particularly aggressive environments (close to the sea, in boats,
chemical industries) Rm = 600÷890 N/sq mm.
